ESTA USA Visa Application for Norwegian Citizens
ESTA USA offers an online application form for all citizens of countries that participate in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). The VWP allows citizens of certain countries to visit the USA for tourism, short business trips and medical purposes. Norway is included in this program. In addition, Norwegian citizens are required to submit an ESTA application where all requirements must be met. It has become easier to travel to the United States by applying for an ESTA online. If an ESTA application is denied, all Norwegians who wish to travel to the USA will need to apply for a B-2 Tourist Visa at the US Embassy.
Norway joined the VWP to make it easier for Norwegian passport holders to travel to the United States. Norway is a country with strong bonds to the US and being a part of the Visa Waiver Program is testament to that. In 2014, 313,382 Norwegians visited the United States under this program.
